Each craps is a single roll bet that wins if craps (i.e., 2, 3, or 12) shows the next roll, and loses if there is another number show. The minimum bet amount is the lowest denominated chip value in the game, usually $ 1. The result is 7: 1, so you can bet the amount to get full reward opportunities.
Any craps box is located in the middle of the table and is usually controlled by Stickman, so take care of your hand. When you have the attention of Stickman, throw your chips gently into an open area near the center of the table and say, “Whatever craps, please.” The purpose for the empty place so that your chip doesn’t mess up other chips on the table.
Depending on the casino, the layout may have a box in the proposition area (i.e., table center) labeled “craps,” or 16 small circles next to the proposition area, each containing the letter “C,” or both. Dealers place your craps bet inside the box or in one of the small “C” circles. You might think, “Why is there 16 circle craps, but only one box craps?” Good question, but like all the others in craps, the answer is easy. Any craps box is large enough to accommodate all the bets if everyone at the table makes bets at the same time, but the small “C” circle is just big enough to accommodate one bet. Eight players can play on each side of the table. So, there are eight circles for eight players on each side of the table. If the casino layout uses a little circle instead of any craps box, the dealer places your craps bet in a small circle that matches your table position.
Any craps betting is sometimes called “crap check” when used to hedge a flat pass line bet. For example, if a player makes a $ 10 line line bet, he might throw a $ 1 chip for nonsense checks to “protect” the pass trajectory bet on the roll coming out. On the exit, if the shooter rolled the craps, the player lost the $ 10 flat line bet, but won $ 7 for his nonsense examination.
